How do I delete/archive a recording?
If you want to delete an entire recording, you can do so from the STA Portal. Please note that only users with the Administrator role can perform this action and a deleted recording cannot be restored.

Who can delete a recording?
Only contacts with the Administrator role can delete recordings.
Don’t have this role? Then ask an administrator within your organization to delete the recording.
Deleting a recording
Open the STA Portal.
Go to Live Management View.
Select the module containing the recording:
Delivery and Inspections
Quality Assurance
Safety Inspections
Warranties/Aftercare
Toolboxes
Open the Recordings tab.
Find the entry you want to delete.
Click the blue pencil icon next to the recording row.
Make sure you have opened the correct recording.
Click Delete in the bottom right corner.
Confirm that you want to permanently delete the recording.
⚠️ Note: This action cannot be undone.
Make the deletion visible in the STA App
Do you still have the STA App open on a device? If so, the recording will remain visible until it has been synced.
Open the STA App.
Go to the home screen.
Click the cloud icon (sync) above the projects.
After synchronization, the deleted recording will also be removed from the app.
Archiving a recording
You can archive a recording from the STA Portal.
Open the Live Management View menu.
Select the recording type, for example:
Delivery and inspections
Quality assurance
Safety inspections
Warranties/After-sales service
Toolboxes
Go to the Recordings tab.
Find the recording you want to archive.
Select the recording.
Click the menu button → Archive.
Confirm your choice.
The recording will now be archived and will disappear from the active lists.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I recover a deleted recording?
No. A deleted recording is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Can I also delete a recording via the STA App?
No. Deleting recordings is only possible via the STA Portal.
Can I delete just a single recording point?
Yes. Recording points can be deleted individually without deleting the entire recording. To do this, open the relevant recording and delete only the desired recording point.
