Starting a new chat at a recording point

If you want to quickly discuss a recording point, you can start a chat directly from the STA Portal with a colleague, subcontractor or other involved party.

You need permissions for Live Management View to use this feature.

Start a new chat

  1. Go to Live Management View.

  2. Open the recording type that contains the recording point.

  3. Go to the Recording Points tab.

  4. Find the desired recording point using the filters.

    • You can also open the recording point via the Recordings tab.

  5. Click the blue pencil icon next to the recording point.

  6. Click the plus icon (+) on the right to start a new chat.

  7. Select the person you want to chat with.

  8. Type your message and send it.

Good to know

  • The chat is linked to the recording point.

  • All parties with access to the recording point can easily find the communication.

  • You can manage multiple chats from the same screen.

Who can use this feature?

Users with access to Live Management View and sufficient permissions within the relevant project.
