Copy tasks from 'Functions (basic task scheduling)'

Written By Sven van der Kemp

The "Roles (Basic Task Scheduling)" template allows you to copy tasks directly to a project or personnel schedule based on roles. For example, you can use this to apply a foreman's schedule directly to all foremen or to all foremen within a specific project.

  • Step 1: Open the KAM/VGM Planner and select 'Roles (basic task planning)'.

  • Step 2: Select a role from the table by clicking on the role title.

    • Select '+ Add Row' if there is no task row yet. You can schedule tasks on a row.

  • Step 3: Hover your mouse over the calendar day on which you want a task to start and click the plus sign to add a task. Here you have several options:

    • Title: This is the title of the task and is visible to the person to whom you assign the task. This is required.

    • Recording Type: Link the task to a recording type (and library), and the task’s status will automatically be set to ‘Completed’ once the person has performed the task. The person can then start the task directly from their task list in the STA app.

    • Note: An explanation for the person receiving the task.

    • Repeat: Check the "Repeat" box to have the task recur in the person’s schedule. Specify how

      • Every: Specify how frequently a task should repeat. If you want the task to repeat every 4 weeks, enter '4' and 'Week(s)'.

      • Stop after: Specify a number of repetitions here or enter an end date when you want the task to stop.

  • Step 4: Copy the rules to the desired projects or people’s schedules by clicking ‘More → Copy’

    • Rules: Select the rules you want to copy

    • To schedule: Select the schedule to which you want to copy the rules

Note: If you’re copying to a project schedule and a start and end date has been set for the project, only the tasks that fall within those dates will become active.
