Who can start a chat for a recording point?
Your position or role within the STA environment does not affect being able to start a chat. Both project teams and external parties, such as quality assurance providers, clients and contractors, can start a chat if they meet the conditions below.

Via the STA Portal
You can start a chat via the STA Portal if:
you have access to the Live Management View menu;
you have access to the project containing the recording point;
you have permissions to edit recording points.
Via the STA App
You can start a chat from the STA App if:
you have an account with access to the STA App;
you have access to the project containing the check-in point.
Via STA Ready Report
You can start a chat from STA Ready Report if:
you or your company is the action holder for the recording point;
you have access to the Ready to Go environment of the action holder.
