On this page you will find frequently asked questions about the STA product

Your position or role within the STA environment does not affect being able to start a chat. Both project teams and external parties, such as quality assurance providers, clients and contractors, can start a chat if they meet the conditions below.

Who can start a chat for a recording point?

If the deadline for a recording point has passed, you can manually send a notification to the action holder, both via the STA Portal and the STA App.

With clear and specific point descriptions you get more value out of your deliveries and inspections. You get quicker insight into recurring defects, avoid extra research work and can focus on quality improvement within your construction process. Many companies still use general descriptions during deliveries, such as 'repair paintwork', which may seem convenient, but in the long run results in less overview and less usable data.

How do I delete a recording point?

If you want to quickly discuss a recording point, you can start a chat directly from the STA Portal with a colleague, subcontractor or other involved party.

Starting a new chat at a recording point

If you want to delete an entire recording, you can do so from the STA Portal. Please note that only users with the Administrator role can perform this action and a deleted recording cannot be restored.

If you want to modify a record point via the STA Portal, you can easily do so via Live Management View, where you can change the deadline, action holder, description and status of a record point, among other things.

If you see a red dot near a recording point, there is an unread chat message waiting for you.

How do I see unread chat messages at record points?

With Live Management View, you have real-time insight into all recordings performed with the STA app, where you can easily view all recording points, progress and reports of your projects in one central place. In addition, you can download reports, export photos and view analyses to gain more insight into your construction processes.

What is Live Management View?

With Library Tasks, you can see the status of recording items within a project by library line, giving you quick insight into which items have been completed, which items are still open and which building numbers require action.

What can I do with Live Management View: Library Tasks?

In Live Management View, under the Summary section you will find various statistics and overviews of all executed and active recordings within your projects, giving you quick insight into the progress of projects, recording points and action holders. Select one or more projects and click on 'Search' to load the summary.

What can I do at Live Management View: Summary?

With Live Management View: Completions and Inspections, you gain insight into all completions, free shots and shot points within your projects. You can view the status of shots, filter shot points, export photos, download reports and analyze trends with charts, among other things.

With Live Management View: Quality Assurance you gain insight into all quality recordings performed within your projects. View answers from quality checks, open recording points, statistics and reports in one central place. With Live Management View: Safety Inspections, you gain real-time visibility into all safety inspections within your projects. You can view total overviews, open inspections, manage record points and make comprehensive analyses of safety reports. What can I do with Live Management View: Safety Inspections?

Discover in 3 steps which defects occur most frequently within your company with Live Management View: Delivery and Inspections. With the data from your recordings, you can quickly see which recording points recur frequently, allowing you to work in a more focused way to reduce failure costs on current and future projects.

When exporting photos in Live Management View, there is a limit of 300 photos per export file, preventing the export file from becoming too large to download or open properly.

An administrator is a contact within the STA environment with the role "Administrator." Administrators have additional rights over standard users and can manage settings and users within the environment.

How do I change my own notifications?

If the same contacts or companies appear multiple times in your STA environment, you can easily merge them into one contact or company, keeping your relationships clear and avoiding duplicate data. ⚠️ Only users with the Administrator role can merge contacts and companies.

With permissions, you determine which parts of the STA Portal are available to a user, giving someone access only to the features needed for their work.
